Yeah, that was the first program I wrote like any other aspiring programmer… well, that was years ago when Kruglinski was my bible.
Today, I take the plunge into the blogworld. Well, it seemed like eternity to get started but something happened today that made me sit back and think (!)
Suresh, my pal from childhood days got engaged today. Congrats to you, mate. Feel happy for him today. But what made me happier was that the occasion helped me to meetup with the old gang from the 'tharuvu' … Harish, Ramesh, Jiju, Regu, Mahesh and ofcourse our 'sir'. When we said gudbyes more than 8 years ago, we were still kids …. out of school n college. And today, all caught up in the corporate world going places …. S is with PSoft inc, Patalam is with UTI, Maverick R is with ICICI, J is with Hindustan Latex and so on. Had Arun as well joined us today, the picture would have been complete and probably teamed up for a game of cricket!
As I sat there at the function, I realized what I missed out … 8 years seems too long. As I was working my backside out across the pacific for half a decade, I was shunting myself away from the people who walked alongside with me all the years. I sat there today thinking of the countless games of cricket we played together, hours of banter and 'konne' adi. And then, there were Randeep, Pattar, Vj, ABVP gang, E-bus gang and the 'room', when I enrolled into CET. Except for couple of them, I had become alien to others. In this age of webcams and skypes, this is no exuse.
None of those memorable moments or people have ever been outta my mind but certainly have not been letting them know what I am upto nor keeping tab on what they are upto. So, this is an effort to getback in touch …
